The Limassol side of the Cyprus zone starts at Larnaca, even though the zone map does not show it: there are no direct flights from the US, so most travellers connect through Athens, London or Frankfurt. Getting There
Larnaca Airport (LCA) is the main gateway to the Limassol hub in the Cyprus zone, about 42 to 50 minutes' drive away, and there are no direct flights from the US to Cyprus (reported on the zone page). Paphos (PFO) is slightly closer in drive time, about 40 to 44 minutes, but runs a smaller, mostly European charter and budget-carrier network. The cleanest routings are via Athens, via London Heathrow (British Airways flies both Larnaca and Paphos direct) or via Frankfurt; budget 12 to 16 or more hours door to door (reported).

Getting Out of the Airport
- Taxi or transfer: taxis and minibuses meet flights at both airports; ask for a minibus or estate car and agree the fare first.
- Rental car: the practical way along the south coast to Limassol; ask about board space.
- Bus: intercity buses run to Limassol (reported); confirm the schedule and the board-bag rule before you rely on it.
