Bodø Gateway
The Lofoten side of the Norway zone starts at Bodø or Leknes, even though the zone map does not show them: there is no nonstop US service, so most travellers fly through Oslo and then north. Getting There
Bodø Airport (BOO) is the jet connection for the Lofoten side of the Norway zone, but it has no nonstop US service. Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) is the realistic US gateway, with SAS flying nonstop to New York JFK (reported on the zone page). Bodø carries seasonal direct international routes for 2026 to Munich, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, and Widerøe connects Bodø onward to Leknes (LKN) or Svolvær (SVJ) in about 20 minutes (reported). Leknes is the small regional airport closest to Unstad, about 21 km away, and it is domestic-only.
